Superhumans Among Us

So over the years I’ve noticed how easy it is for people to dismiss the term “Superhuman”. They seem to think it’s either a marketing slogan, an exaggeration or a term reserved for elite groups like professional athletes or Navy SEALs.

And sure. When we think of “Superhuman” feats it’s the people doing the quadruple backflips on dirt bikes, and jumping out of planes without parachutes that we think of. But those are just the ones that are sensationalized. And honestly, they’re not the most important or relevant examples we should be paying attention to.

They’re just the most entertaining ones. They’re the ones that keep us comfortable and safe on our couch because they’re easily dismissed as circus tricks and we tell ourselves that that level or kind of performance doesn’t apply to us.

But what about the overworked…

...executive with 4 kids who quits his job to start a new business and is now making millions while living a life of purpose and passion?

And how about the father who lives an adventurous and inspiring life, while staying in shape and maintaining both the respect and interests of his children?

What about the quiet homemaker who is not only making sure each member of the family is discovering and living out their authentic selves but is also doing the same?

Now. How about the person who is living overseas right now and is waking up every morning to study and train to do the same job you do, but to do it better, faster and cheaper?

Now these are the superhumans among us. They’re the ones that are taking ground, redefining the roles you’ve been taking for granted. They’re the ones raising the bar, setting the new standards and making your life very tough.

And since they are truly accomplishing superhuman things the old saying “If you can’t beat them, join them” is in full effect. But here’s the problem.

You can’t join superhumans if you’re…

...not one yourself. This leaves us with little to no choice but to become one. But again, we run into yet another problem. The line between who we’ve become and who we were meant to be has grown thick, and has been muddled by years of anesthetizing ourselves with BBQs, daily drinking and working ourselves like machines.

We’ve become inert so we resist the call that taunts us. We resist the hero call, which I’m going to explain deeper in my next paper. We resist the call not because we don’t want it, but because we want it so badly that we don’t dare get near it because we know it will consume us and ask us to change everything. And let’s face it. A change in situation is often desired and is always required to live a good life, but a change in self is often beyond… well. Ourself.

And it’s not the fear of change of self or situation that ultimately leads to an all out refusal of this call. It’s the fear of finding out that we can no longer change. To step forward and cross the threshold means that we not only have committed to leaving our ordinary world behind, but we’ve committed to finding out if we are special, if we actually have what it takes, If we can be a hero in our own lives so that we can be a hero in the lives of others.

But what if I told you that there’s a way to find out. You know… if you do have what it takes? What if we could figure this out before you fully commit? What if I could actually...

Prove that there is still a hero within you and...

...do it in a way that would even demystify the process of superhuman performance to the point of making it obvious? Like something that you’ll remember as having always been true, but maybe have just forgotten about?

And I’m going to take this a step further. How about if in the process of proving this to you, I’d be able to help you locate yourself where you are already at in your personal journey?

Would you take the next step? I mean I’m not asking nor am I inviting you down this rabbit hole with me just yet, but I am inviting you to take a peek into it. But I must warn you. Where I’m about to take you is to a place that you can never come back from, because once you know what I’m about to show you, you’ll never be able to un-know it.
