Your Patriotic Duty To Succeed

Your Patriotic Duty To Succeed

If you’re here in America then it’s your patriotic duty to succeed. People died to give you all of this opportunity, to get you this far out in front and it's your duty to take the "ball of freedom and opportunity" and run with it.

We’re too far away from the hard fought battles of survival and freedom to fully appreciate, and sufficiently protect, what’s been handed over to us by those who created this nation.

That formula for the American dream has worked so well for so long that many of us have stopped using it.  We’re all looking for the “Secret Sauce”, the shortcuts and the workarounds. Guess what? There aren’t any, let that bullshit go, get your ass back on track and start running.

5 Things The Lone Survivor Will Teach You

5 Things The Lone Survivor Will Teach You

Amazing stories resonate so well with us not just because of the story, but they give us a glimpse of what a human being is capable of and for a moment we understand that we are capable of the same.

For me, I believe these men are heroes because they show us all what’s really inside of us. Greatness! We just need to choose it.

Action & Actually Taking Some Part 2

Action & Actually Taking Some Part 2

In today’s highly competitive and dynamic world, things move fast. So fast that the information, knowledge, and capacities that were relevant at the beginning of a project can become obsolete even before the project is complete. For this reason, to reach a meaningful objective, your plans must account for trial and error, and allow for the acquisition of new skills and capacities along the way. The process is not very predictable and is seldom straightforward. It requires high levels of confidence, self-esteem, and patience.

Zoe’s Got Your 6

Zoe’s Got Your 6

Many of you might hate me for this, but I must confess that I was, in a way, ready to see her go. I had, like many spoiled Americans, begun to take the protection she gave me for granted. This never swayed her commitment one bit.

I was now home and I no longer thought she was needed for protection. Then the days, weeks, and months began to go by, and the symptoms of her absence began to reveal themselves. That cold feeling of having your “6” exposed began to creep in. Nobody was on watch anymore. Hypervigilance returned and my personal reaction to losing Zoe began to go sideways.

5 Things Your Own Psychology Is Hiding From You

5 Things Your Own Psychology Is Hiding From You

As we travel into adulthood, we’ll often find ourselves in a place where we’re not able to adequately care for all of our concerns or produce enough of an income to live a good life and lead others to do the same. Our cultural reaction to this is to either work harder, or anesthetize ourselves with distractive technology such as T.V, social media, or email.

These tactics don't work. To improve life we must improve our knowledge. To do that we must first address what blocks our ability to learn.

Trying To Keep Perspective and Honor Chris

Trying To Keep Perspective and Honor Chris

f it weren’t for the stories, books and movies about men like Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell I would have never wanted to be a Navy SEAL. In fact, it was the movie “Navy SEALs” from the 1990′s where I learned about the elite force. Reluctantly I began to write about Chris and I slowly began to actually feel like we were doing something. Probably not much of anything, but it was the first time I felt like I was part of the SOF community in a long time and I desperately missed my brothers. I sent Brandon what I wrote up and thanked him for the opportunity to at least try and contribute to the mission. Again it all felt very selfish, but damn it, I needed to do something, anything to serve Chris and his memory.

My Friend Chris Kyle: Modern Day Hero Lost

My Friend Chris Kyle: Modern Day Hero Lost

I was blessed with the opportunity to have been Chris’s Sniper Instructor, and to get to know him as a person. Chris was an amazing student. Every time I worked with Chris I was learning as much or more from him as he was from me.
